Peekaboo...
Yesterday I spent time admiring my little breeding group and wondering what might be growing beneath the girls' sheep suits and fleeces. Nightcap's face is smoothing out, losing its "Klingon" breeding season look; I'm hoping that means that none of the girls is cycling because all three are bred – including YOU, Sarai!
Nightcap is such a handsome ram, and remains the consummate gentleman. I can't wait to see his (EWE) lambs! Based on when he was introduced to the ewes, lambs could arrive as early as late January, but I don't really expect to see any until mid-March.
Still two long months to go at . . .

The first shot is freaky cool!!!
Those trees are amazing for getting good shots. The sheep look great, hoping you've got all the ewes bred this year. I have a twin to Night Cap at my place, Elvis looks exactly like him.
Hi Michelle, thanks so much for coming with me to my new blog home! I won't be shutting down "A Few Words" but you can stop following it as I won't be posting there any longer.
Hugs my dear friend,
Beth
Yes, back to normal I'm afraid. But we can use the moisture. On your post yesterday, I love that sheep in the fog picture...very ethereal. I just found your comment about teaching me to knit!! Whoohoo, I'm excited!! Let me know what I need to get, to start out. I'd like to start with a scarf. How many skeins would I need for an approx. 6 ft long scarf? Should I get a fine yarn, or is that more difficult to learn on? Oh, I have so many questions! Thank you Michelle, I'm looking forward to it. :)
Love the pictures... how do you manage to not get everyone shoving their face into the camera? Because that is what happens with our girls every time I go to take a picture?
Michelle,
I love all of these pictures, your sheep love to pose for you.
I got several of them standing like that; I thought this was the best one. High compliment from YOU, Sara!
Is Elvis related to Nightcap? I think Karen used Nightcap one season.
But of COURSE I would follow you to your new blog home, my friend!
Lorie, I'd get worsted weight yarn in a color and feel you love; probably a couple skeins for a 6-footer. I can loan you needles.
If I catch them at the right time off in the distance and zoom in, I can avoid noses in the lens, Ruth.
Not always, Sandy! ;-)
How exciting!!! Best wishes for safe deliveries. Thx for the comment on my blog too.
Those are great pictures. And what good-looking fleeces they are producing!
