As I type the clouds are racing by with glimpses of blue showing through. It's been wet-wet-wet since Monday night, so I'd better get my inside stuff squared away and exercise
a certain cooped-up young horse so he continues making progress.
Rain and sunbeams were dueling this morning during chores, and I kept getting distracted from my tasks by glimpses of glory. And once my focus is on photography, I see images I want to capture everywhere I look, glorious or not. Lucky for me, I have a blog on which to share them! ;-)

Kelly shared photos of her farm, and this morning
Sandra showed some scenes from hers (with snow from Storm Sandy!). I haven't had the privilege of visiting very many of my blogpals (a few more have visited here, which is fun!), so I love getting glimpses of their lives and locations. I figure I'm not the only one who enjoys such glimpses, so I took the photo above and below with that in mind. This is my view looking east from the top of our middle pasture, along the driveway leading to our house. (Our driveway enters our property at its SW corner, runs along the upper pasture, then splits, with one spur going north to the house and the other going east to the barn. Keep in mind we only have five acres; think small!)
When I returned from doing chores, Rick and Brian were hard at work on the tractor. Rick has been building a manure fork attachment for the bucket of the little Kubota; we're hoping this makes the heretofore back-breaking task of stripping the sheep folds much, much easier. I am so thankful for my handy husband – and my dad, for giving us this handy tractor!

I, too, love to see pictures of other bloggers' surroundings/property. For some reason, it adds to the person and voice blogging. You really live in a lovely area. Our leaves are nearly completely gone now. We are into what I call Bleak November waiting for snow to fall so the landscape is pretty again.
Very pretty colors and view! And, that manure fork looks positively dangerous. :) Here in Mac, we've had no rain at all today, even big patches of blue sky! Hurray!!

oops...I'm tired and forgot my manners...thank you for the kind mention. it got above freezing today but I still had to use the tractor to plow out the driveway. then, I had to use the grain shovel to clear a path through the gate.
I'm headed to bed, after taking aspirin, for some good sleep!
Oh my goodness... what a wonderful attachment for the Kubota, and a nifty little tractor. It's funny, Michelle, I thought you had many more acres than five!

We don't get much snow, so it's a good thing we get bright green in the winter!
