Lucky lambies

Boulderneigh Blake's first lamb crop is five weeks old today. Blake became an orphan at this age (with no ill effects); these lucky lambies still have their mommies. While they are eating grass and hay (and the two girls do their best to steal grain from Inky's ration), they still enjoy a nip of warm milk when Annabelle and Bronwen give permission. Without that permission, it is clear the bar is closed!

I couldn't get any decent "birthday" photos of Birdie, but here are some snaps of the other two:
Bonny's conformation and carriage have impressed from birth. Typey Shetland tail, too! Actually, all three of Blake's lambs have nice tails and square conformation.
Bart is a handsome fellow who is filling out very nicely. Love that topline and consistent fleece!

That's it for today from . . .

Bart has little points that don't yet show beyond his poll wool, so yeah, pretty hornless at this point!

The lambs are looking good. Wow has it been 5 weeks already, and a year since Blake lost his mom?Time is flying. Great pictures. I always have a hard time getting pictures with their heads up, must wait them out to stop feeding.
