Special delivery!

Brian just ran up to the house with this, our very first egg from one of our pullets:
He saw a Speckled Sussex hen hop out of the nest box, leaving behind this warm little miracle. It's the first egg we've seen in quite a few days!

I love pulling warm eggs out of the nest! I have been lucky, with 30 hens, I've yet to have one day with NO eggs.
