Perfect for these frosty days

Started on January 5; finished yesterday:

The pattern is Cobblestone Fingerless Mitts (free on Ravelry), the yarn is Plymouth Encore Sock (two different colorways, leftovers from socks; self-patterning yarn is so FUN!). I knitted both at once using Magic Loop, and bound off with Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. These are a gift; I think I need to make more. But for now it's back to My Fuzzy Coyote and spinning the white Gotland.

    Beautiful! I bought a pair of these gloves in Germany and I love them. Guess I should learn how to make some myself.

      This really is an easy pattern and would fit nearly anyone because of the well-designed thumb gusset and the 2x2 rib.

    Fast fingerless mittens! Just the type of knitting project to have at hand. Thanks for the link to the JSSBO - I hadn't come across that and I'm getting close to casting on for some small people socks.

    Suzan, I was in the same boat after I got sheep – learned to knit as a child but didn't remember how. I printed off Lion Brand's "How to Knit" tutorial and retaught myself. The rest is history - on this blog! :-)

    Hmmm - I wonder if I could knit up a pair of these this weekend? I usually don't knit that fast and I should be working on a baby present, but the temp is supposed to be in the single digits Monday - our old farmhouse can get cold on days like that - hmmmm . . . .
