HALLELUJAH! (a Sabbath surprise)

Don't worry, there's a nice layer of sawdust in each nesting box now. And that egg? Brian insisted on eating it in an omelet this morning. :-)

Eagerly waiting for #2 at . . .

  1. Congrats on the egg! You'll get spoiled quickly by fresh eggs.

  2. BBBAAAWWWKAAAWWWWKKKK!!!! :) Congratulations!! It's amazing how tough those shells can be (especially in young chickens)I wouldn't worry that there wasn't a nice layer for it to sit on (though I guess it does make a "pretty" picture). Enjoy....you will never want another store bought egg again (and you'll think twice about ordering breakfast at a restaurant!)

  3. NICE! You are in business now! I guess it took having you go all the way to Missouri to see some real 'egg laying chickens' to get your girls in gear! :-)

  4. Eggcellent! Congratulations on the egg! Everyone is right - you will never go back to store-bought eggs again. Be prepared for more chickens; you will need them once everyone is hooked on the eggy goodness of farm eggs.

How pretty! Cables are about the only stich in knitting that makes me what to knit better, just not enough to make me do it ;-)
I cant wait to see the finished product!
    Nice egg!
