Consolation prize

This afternoon Rick agreed to go for a ride on the beach with me for my birthday (even though he had already presented me with a fantastic gift). We had both checked the weather, of course, and it was supposed to be cloudy but dry.

We even didn't bother to unload the horses. Oh well; the thought counted. And once we got back to the valley, the skies were beautiful.  :-)
