My weekend

I camped in the presence of this

Helping set up this

Kept myself occupied with this

Found time to work on this

Relaxed by this

Watched others enjoy this

And even got a chance to do this

All while enchanted by lots of this

Hope your weekend was as lovely!

That's the holiday weekend report from this . . .

  1. Soooo envious... OOO... Maybe I can come ride with you sometime. Do you have any mellow horses (I count myself as a experienced horseperson-I have no fear on the ground, but don't like falling any more).

    1. You're welcome to come ride with us, Ruth, but you'd have to provide your own mount. The horse I'm leasing is for sale so I didn't take him (too much risk), and our own horses consist of my husband's retired cutting horse, his squirrelly younger Quarter horse, and my son's pony! I only got to ride because someone loaned me her Tennessee Walker mare.

  4. Jealous!!! Haven't been on my horse yet this year. I'm gonna stop this merry-go-round I call my life lately and get some of that stuff done.
Lovely photos, looks like you had a fabulous time.

  5. Great photos, love the wildflowers, have never seen anything like some of them here, but then here is all dry and brown already and wildflowers are long gone. Looks like you had a fantastic weekend.

  9. Oh, how fun! Beautiful place and looks like you had perfect weather. Aren't those wild dogwoods wonderful? We have them all over the property and I never tire of seeing them in amongst the dark green pines.
Now what are those sweet little purple/blue flowers?

    1. Theresa, do you mean the five-petaled one or those impossibly tiny ones next to my fingertip? I don't know my wildflowers, but the bigger one looks kind of like a gentian (although I don't think it is). I almost didn't SEE the tiny ones with my middle-aged eyes!
