That's my Jenkins Kingwood Jay (with Lark shaft beneath) holding some pretty blue sample fiber two-ply I just finished (I brought the singles), another yummy sample of BFL/silk to spin, and three little balls of two-ply. I brought the needles and pattern to whip those all up into Top Down Mini Raglan sweaters. I think I'll use that baby blue first, and leave it here for a "baby's first Christmas" ornament for my nephew. :-)
That case is GENIUS! What is it's original purpose? I am always searching for cases and carriers for small "travel" projects.

Melanie, that is an oversized sunglasses case that I picked up at a discount retail place like TJMaxx. I have a couple of tiny spindles that fit in it completely assembled, but my Jay/Lark traveled unassembled.
ReplyDeleteI was just going to ask about the case too. VERY clever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea!!! I've seen travel sewing kits, first aid kits, all kinds of kits, but never a spindle kit! Very cool.
