The waiting for lambs is both exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Inky does look ready to go soon. Mine are looking large as well, but I'll have a better idea when they're due after Friday.
We have about 10 days to go, although Scarlet is looking ready, I am guessing she will lamb before the end of the week. I learned that knowing the day they are due is just as hard, you should have asked! ;-)
I have until March 20th for my AI girls and I don't really think any will go that long! The poor things look like Inky and they waddle, puff when they breathe and moan and groan when they get up. I feel so guilty :)
Poor Inky - She looks like she needs a "Wide Load" sign on her rear :) We have some of our Finns/Gotlands who may be carrying quads or more - and those girls are already HUGE !!!
I am so impatient for lambs too. It looks so much greener and warmer there. My DH was a VISTA volunteer in AK after college and we spent spring break in Seattle that year. I flew out there to meet him. It was so beautiful and in full bloom, about a whole month ahead of spring here. Your pictures reminded me of that and that it won't be took long for us. The end of winter is close. :)
I completely agree about the waiting part, it is just as hard when you know as when you don't know. Inky looks quite a bit different then she did when she was here :)
I'm a blogger - I love comments! Oh, and you DON'T have to check that box proving you're not a robot; you'll still be able to leave your comment without it!

ReplyDeleteI think Inky will be relieved when she isn't super-sized anymore.

ReplyDeletePoor Inky! She looks as though she'll triplet or have two BIG ones at the very least. I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that I still have a month to go before I even have to think about lambing!
