A week from tomorrow I will be doing more than watching the Shetlands show at the Black Sheep Gathering in Eugene. I will also be picking up two new flock members! Here's a teaser of the front end of the boy,and the back end of the girl.
I will even get to christen them. More later!
That's it for now at . . .
Good onya, mate!
ReplyDeleteA polled ram! And a handsome one to boot. And the ewe is such a pretty color - loove those moorits. Congratulations! Tina, et al
ReplyDeleteAre they both related to each other?
ReplyDeleteThe lambs are not related, which is definitely part of the appeal of the deal! Both may carry polled genetics, though (well, obviously the ram lamb does!).
ReplyDeleteExciting news! And teasy photos. I hope I get to see them at BSG. Much as I love to look at a nice horned ram, the polled ones are so practical.

I adore those lovely moorits. Do you know if they will fade or not? I'd love to find a non-fading moorit or dark brown but they are all gorgeous regardless.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your decision. I look forward to more photos when they arrive. Have you decided on names? And how are you going to set up the ram housing once you get your first wee lambs? Your answer is as much for my edification as interest in your goings-on. Since we still haven't castrated Leroy, I am having second thoughts. (Our vet won't do it and I have to take him in somewhere.)
Congrats again! ~Lauren
