When I walked outside to get more padded envelopes from storage this morning the smell of ozone was very strong, and with the wind storm this afternoon I felt a shifting and a lifting of my mood. I hope you're also sensing a sweet calmness.

To follow Jody's comments... for several years I used a natural progesterone cream developed by a place in Portland that was very helpful for terrible moodiness, irrational anxiety that would wake me up at night:

http://www.emerita.com/products/midlife-balance-1/paraben-free-pro-gest-2-oz.html

After this last week I think I need to buy some more!

The moon picture is one of the most beautiful ones I've seen! You should enter it somewhere!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-73570785603223553572013-12-20T16:11:51.014-08:002013-12-20T16:11:51.014-08:00That was my thoughts exactly Michelle but after 7 ...That was my thoughts exactly Michelle but after 7 years of it I had had enough. I am sure you are not as bad off as I was. As for safety, there are many different opinions on that one for sure and as I said....I am on a very low dosage. That is all it took to make a difference for me. Harvard's article (http://www.health.harvard.edu/newsweek/What-are-bioidentical-hormones.htm) seems pretty thorough. Doesn't look to me like the bio-identicals are any safer than HRT, which I won't use. If I'm going to go through these symptoms sooner (now) or later (when I finally go off a medication of some sort), I figure I might as well just get them over with!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01550786937196525098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-90233206881317886362013-12-20T13:03:37.606-08:002013-12-20T13:03:37.606-08:00Michelle I was getting a lot of intense hot flashe...Michelle I was getting a lot of intense hot flashes and night sweats plus mood swings and forgetfulness..not to mention many other symptoms for many years. I did not want to use traditional HRT therapy. The girls in my knit group started taking bio-identical hormone therapy and were so happy with it.
I would experience a feeling of frustration/anxiety right before the hot flashes would hit but after taking low dose bio-identicals for only one week, the hot flashes and night sweats stopped. I have been on them for 1 1/2 years and I feel so "me' again. I wish I hadn't suffered as long as I did but I just wasn\t aware how much they would help :-))Jodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15665272462573135734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-40846931908031360902013-12-20T10:25:25.993-08:002013-12-20T10:25:25.993-08:00Sandy, don't scare me by telling me about your...Sandy, don't scare me by telling me about your difficult 20-year-old! ;--) Yes, my DH is a keeper . . . even when he's not . . . .

Thanks, Lorie, and I'm sorry about Merlin.

Nancy, sometimes he hits a home run! ;-)

So true, Ruth!

FFG, sometimes MY DH needs a refresher course.
