Dozer like to get up on the hearth occasionally, too. Short-haired dogs....

Kristin, the rest of the week is supposed to be much warmer. Today was, although we still had a cool breeze. The nights will be cold enough for a fire still; there is nothing as cozy as wood heat – except maybe polarfleece sheets!

Jeanne and Mama Pea, this morning the smoke detectors went off for NO discernible reason; so strange (and annoying)!

Wisps, we don't always get snow here, but it was odd to get our ONLY snow this late. As for dealing with this very unique situation, nothing much has changed in our life except my son doing his high school classes online. We've never gone out much or traveled a lot; I've always kept supplies well stocked; we live in the country and being here with our animals is where I am happiest.

Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01550786937196525098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-4724978345363858542020-03-16T10:30:30.252-07:002020-03-16T10:30:30.252-07:00Thank you for your comment!

In the air, rather than growing things yet.

Unknown smoke! Yikes! We had to have new ones installed after putting in a shower. And they are _beyond_ sensitive. Too much. Cooking sets them off!

Again, thank you for your comment, on being prepared for having to be home. I wish we all would keep posting, about how we personally are dealing with this very, very unique happening. :-)

Stay wise, clam, safe.
Turn off the 😱screaming😱 sources.
Listen to your local County Public Health source.
🍃🌷🌱🌷🍃wisps of wordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12995057494013633705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-72089061000046251762020-03-16T08:34:10.387-07:002020-03-16T08:34:10.387-07:00Using a wood heater can be tricky at times, no dou...Using a wood heater can be tricky at times, no doubt about it. As you know, we heat with wood and are very happy doing so, even when we get those occasional down drafts and puffs of smoke coming out the front of the stove(s). Unavoidable, I guess. But coming home to a houseful of smoke . . . and no smoke alarms beeping . . . ooops, what's going on there?

Poppy continues to be too darn cute. (Rico hasn't had that opportunity, as far as we know. He was six months old when we got him, and he was a rescue from CA, so who knows....) And you're right - Poppy's ears are really cute, no matter what angle you see them from.

Sorry about the smoke in the house. Not a fun thing. But it's good you had better luck the next day.

Have a great day!Jeannenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-88289597304738160072020-03-16T06:42:28.831-07:002020-03-16T06:42:28.831-07:00OH! I think I might like to just snuggle up in front of the fireplace too. Your pup looks so cozy there.
