Most of the day was hot and still. I donned shorts, turned the ceiling fan on high and listened to stories of 9/11 on public radio while I knitted and spun. I finished the lace section of my mini-Kleio:

and made significant progress on my BFL/silk roving from Laura:

She calls this colorway "Water Lilies," and it has a refreshingly cool spectrum that amuses me by suggesting other names as I work through the sections, like "Peacock" and "Neon Jellybean."

Thank heavens for cooler weather! We are having it here, too, despite the 96 degrees this afternoon... a change will come in the night. Yayy for fall!
ReplyDeleteCute racing stripes :-). Beautiful spinning!
ReplyDeleteWow, your spinning is impressive!
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling of yearning for cooler temperatures. It finally happened here in Kentucky. I thought we were going to dry up and blow away. Enjoy those fall breezes.
Isn't cool weather a treat after a heat wave? Fall can't come soon enough! That blue colorway is gorgeous BTW.
ReplyDeleteWow, those singles are so fine - like thread! Impressive for sure! I hope Jackson is feeling better - sorry you had to forgo that trip to the beach - sounds like today's was much more fun. T.
ReplyDeleteIt's gotten even cooler with grey skies every morning, Mary Ann and Leigh; I'm enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara, Dianne and Tina! Laura told me to spin it finer than usual because she is going to teach me to Navajo-ply with this. I am being obedient. :-)
