I love it! Our chickens are finding creative spots to lay their eggs. Right now they enjoy crawling underneath a tarp on some hay that is outside and then flying up in the dark to lay their eggs on a bale.
Too cute Michelle. My Welsummer hens don't like to share but everyone of them loves the same box, ignoring the other available 9. So they pace and pace on the nestbox walks, screaming at the top of their lungs for the laying hen to get out. The Orpingtons will hurry to get out, the Ameraucaunas decided long ago just to avoid that box but the Penedesencas have an almost passive-aggressive quality to their insistence to take their time if the Wellies are screaming. I love hens.
I'm a blogger - I love comments! Oh, and you DON'T have to check that box proving you're not a robot; you'll still be able to leave your comment without it!
That's about the funniest thing I've seen in a coop...
