I'll take some photos and do a blog post to document it over the weekend if I can. In the meantime, take your tape measure in one hand, and your skein resting over the other. Measure from the top of your skein - on the inside where it's resting against your finger - to the inside bottom - don't stretch it out too much. Write down the number of inches. Then take the skein and count the wraps. Write down the number of wraps. (Inches x #of wraps)x2 = Total Inches/36 = Total Yards.

Because you're measuring on the inside of your skein, you'll have a little fudge room, which is better than measuring on the outside and discovering that the inside wraps were shorter and you don't have the yardage you thought.

That's probably clear as mud - I was never Math Girl, and, like I said, it's late :-)A :-)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08945973268968338244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-17827257094218369052011-01-21T17:39:25.715-08:002011-01-21T17:39:25.715-08:00I was surprised to see the rosemary blossoms, too!...I was surprised to see the rosemary blossoms, too!

Adrienne, how do you re-measure your skeins? I'm thinking I'd have to put them on my skeinwinder and then rewrap them on my niddy-noddy.

Margaret, YOU may be able to stop at one spindle, but I will admit to a few more than that - although not all were purchased. I don't have - or want - the huge collection that others have, though!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01550786937196525098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31671898.post-65852650028250220382011-01-21T14:45:19.339-08:002011-01-21T14:45:19.339-08:00Oh MY!
