Sunrise, sunset; swiftly flow the days

It's been awhile – like, almost two weeks! It's been oppressively smoky for most of that time, but a visit from my parents provided a welcome distraction. It was lovely to spend time with them; we live too far apart and the days and years pass too quickly.

I will post more as soon as I can get to it. For now, I will leave you with a pictorial documentation of our summer atmosphere, from sun-up August 14 through sunset (and moonrise) tonight. If you hover over each photo it may show the date and general time of day.

That's it for now from . . .

Good to see a note from you, Michelle. When we bloggers don't hear from each other in a while, we always wonder if all is well. (Maybe we shouldn't go right to "worry," but it's nice to know we do think of each other!)

We've been experiencing the smoke filled atmosphere, too, blown over us all the way from western Canada. It's actually been keeping our days a little cooler, but no one would wish for the fires for that reason, obviously.

I do the same thing, Mama Pea – worry when I don't hear from blogpals. It would be nice to have everyone's email so we could send a note asking if everything is okay; one of my blogpals just posted after a LONG absence saying she's been locked out of her blog!

Yes, the only benefit from the smoke that I could note was controlling just how high the mercury could climb. Hard to believe it reached all the way to northern MN; my folks live in the panhandle of TX and said they got Canadian wildfire smoke down there! There have been some bad wildfires near them, too, unfortunately.

I just looked at my weather app and there are no 90s forecast for the next seven days; woot! I'm thinking I can breathe a sigh of relief that the worst of summer is OVER.

Summer isn't over until it rains. We've had smoke like you show all summer. I went to Redding CA yesterday, OMG, it was awful, smoke, burned out properties, a real trail of tears. Looked like a moonscape in some areas.
Glad you have a good visit with your folks! Yeah!

I was gone for the weekend, so missed your blog! :( I hope you see this.

Your pictures are beautiful! I'm sorry your parents are having smoke from Canada, now that they're home again. Not fun!

We got the merest sprinkle the other night, Theresa; sure would appreciate a good cleansing RAIN!

Since your comment was emailed to me, Jeanne, I saw it! Thanks (always) for commenting!
