A fine day at the Faire

This is the third Ren Faire I've been to in Oregon, each in a different location. Common denominators are stage acts, jousting, plenty of interesting outfits on workers and attendees alike, and LOTS of vendors. Each has been fun; each has had something to recommend it. The first one we went to had a great birds of prey show with falconers, plus a retired racing greyhound adoption booth done very much in Renaissance style. I think the second one had the best vendors. Today's had amazing giant rocking horses, and the best jousting events (we attended two) – not just because of the kilted "Scotsman," but he was definitely eye candy, and a good horseman. Here's a taste of several different dishes, plus a heaping helping of the jousting tournaments; enjoy!

Besides food, my sole purchase – consumable, so still not-an-acquisition!

That's it for today and our anniversary celebration from . . .

How fun! Huzzah Huzzah for the kilted scotsman and his trusty steed. :-)
Some beautiful costuming to be seen too.

I would definitely be pulling for the kilted laddies - Hubba! And the hair on that lassie in the purple dress! It looks like a wonderful event - love the clothing and colors!

What fun! I used to love going to the Renn Fest in Ontario and Iowa, but we don't have one here. A shame really, it was such a fun escape, and I even have the right costume!

It was all definitely a feast for the eyes, Theresa. Is there a Ren Faire in Ashland? It would seem fitting!

"Hubba!" is right, Susan! ;-) That lady with the LONG hair was a visitor, but she, her husband, and their baby were all dressed in simple but elegant period style. (The stroller gave them away.)

It was, Mokihana! You should go this weekend!

You're welcome, Diana; I'm happy to share. ;-)

I think I remember seeing a photo of you in that costume, Claire!
