Still silent...

...and decidedly sicker-feeling than yesterday. :-(
NyQuil on board, so I hope to be sacked out like Dozer just as soon as I finish the monthly tax deposits for Rick's clinic. Tomorrow morning I have to take my MIL to a downtown Portland doctor's appointment and another winter storm is moving in – hopefully the latter won't arrive before the former is accomplished. Then to Salem for Brian's first home game of basketball; no cheering for me.

Will post the biscotti recipe soon. If you want a chance to get some ready-made, leave a comment in the last post. As for the cranberries, you just throw fresh, firm ones into a bath of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips, then fish them out to harden on waxed paper; that's it!

That's it for now from . . .

My heart stopped. At first I thought something happened to Dozer. Glad he is well - and will you be soon I hope.

Me too, scared the bejeezer's out of me.
Hope you feel better soon. Our storm arrived last night. 6 inches of snow at least.
I'll know for sure when I go to wade out into it to feed in about 15 minutes.

You can send some of that predicted snow our way to make your life a little easier if you want. Our temps are down, down, down in the deep freeze but not much snow cover yet. A good foot of "insulation" would be good for us.

I know it's nearly impossible for "mom" to take it easy when sick (especially this time of year) but we're hearing of cases of pneumonia, strep throat and viral infections around here and you sure don't want your cold to develop into something like that. Dozer wouldn't mind a bit if you took an afghan or quilt and snuggled up with him for a couple hours today!

Are you taking honey, too? I found that a tablespoon of local honey in hot water was very effective. I'm sorry you are feeling so miserable - especially since life does not stop so you can heal, does it? Also hoping the winter storm holds off until you are safely home for the night!

So sorry that you are feeling so punk :-( Do try to get some rest - this is a rotten time of year to be sick, that's for sure.
