I clicked the link to the Yarn Harlot's blog and read it. What a wonderful story of her daughters making the party happen (without any drama!). Good to experience that there is hope, that kids mature...

Oh, thanks for sharing this Michelle. Made my morning! Yes, there is always hope...and I'm thankful that she didn't have to resort to killing the lot of them and leaving them in shallow graves. She could have hurt her back!! :)

That was indeed a great post. I remember those feelings years ago, when I was weary and burned out of training my children to be adults. I would remind myself to treasure the moments because one day they would end.

Tomorrow I get to go to my granddaughter's first Christmas program. It would seem that all those years were a gift to myself. My children are wonderful, responsible adults and I cherish the friendship I now have with them.

Making them my priority when they were children was more than worth it.
