The gift of time

It's been a sunny, warm, quiet day – in a word, wonderful. Just what I needed. I've had time with the Lord, time with my husband, time outside with nature and the animals, time on the phone with my folks. I took lots of photos and trashed the vast majority of them as "meh," except for these. Handsome, shy Bart:

Oooh, look at that fleece!

"Hey, pet me!"

One of the things I miss most in our current reality is spending time outside smelling the roses and the wool fumes – especially during those golden hours of early morning and late afternoon. Rick and Brian do morning chores on the mornings I have to work; in the evening when I help with chores, it's late, dark, and I'm tired from going, going, going. I'm hoping to change that; to get up a little earlier and head outside with my camera in hand to greet the day before facing the daily grind away from home. There are lots of things I could and probably should spend an extra 15 minutes on every morning, but I'm thinking this one thing may be what I need. I'll let you know.

That's it for now from . . .
