Eating for six

In answer to LannieK's question to yesterday's post, yes, I think there is a very good chance for twins – actually, two sets of them! What do YOU think?

Sarai and Vienna look equally round, but the photo below is telling, if you biggify and look closely:

Today (getting up early enough to go outside and check on things is working well for me) the skies are gray again, but there are rays of sunshine close to the ground:
in the island bed
by the front gate
And here's our perfume factory, just outside the garage door:

That's it for now from . . .

That's our daphne odora bush. We also have several bushes of a different variety which are also fragrant, but this one is my favorite. :-)

What a pretty plant - I love the leaves with the little white flowers. Such lovely ewes, Michelle. I cannot wait to meet their lambs!

So nice to see flowers in bloom; we still have a couple of feet of snow on the ground in WNY. Can't wait to see the babies.

By the looks of the ewe on the right you will be posting lamb pictures real soon, hopefully ewe lambs.

I'm looking forward to meeting them, too, Susan!

I'm sorry, Sheila. Too bad we can't move some of that snow to the Cascades.

I'd think so, too, Audrey, except that she is only beginning to develop an udder. I have heard some ewes don't really bag up until lambing, but I've never had one like that.

Oh, twins! Yea! So, Michelle... are there a lot of increased risks with twins in Shetlands? What is the expected weight of the lambs? It does seem quite common, but still it seems a little scary. They are both going to need wagons :-) Big Mamas!
Yes, if I was a few years younger I'd have sheep and chickens and horses, etc. Just a rancher at ♡.... thanks for all that you share! I wish you all the best with your new lambs! Just like everyone else... Can't wait :-)

Babies are always so much fun! Hope all goes well. What a perfect description for the daphne!! I heartily agree. We've been enjoying the scent at night through our open bedroom window...heavenly!
