And we're off!

Happy New Year! I intended to post New Year's Day – well, I did post New Year's Day, but I was going to post here, too. Oh well, time chugs on, whether I post or not.

We made a good start to the new year. In the morning we spent time cleaning up outside. While I gathered up wind-storm debris and carried it to the burn pile, Rick and Brian cut up the fir that fell in the woods. Turns out the tree stood/stands just outside our property line and came down on the fence, so they fixed that, too.

Then it was time for fun! My friend and I went riding, and Rick and Brian went bowling with our church's youth group. We ended the day with homemade pasta, which was delicious. (Brian and I had given Rick the pasta machine a couple years ago, and Brian made a pasta drying rack for his dad for this Christmas.)

The day was not all sunshine and fun, though. Lance (my horse) and Dozer (the bulldog) were both off their feed New Year's morning. Lance seems to be on the mend, but Dozer is still not eating, and has us concerned. We're hoping some blood tests tell us something.

That's it for now from . . .

Any word on poor Dozer yet??

Hope Dozer is feeling better... I hate when our fur friends don't feel well.

The blood was drawn today, but too late for pick-up. It will go to the lab on Monday.

Fingers crossed for an easy identifiable culprit and cure.
You know these days I almost look at the food first when one of the dogs goes off, there have been so many recalls.I signed up for alerts from Dog Food Advisor. Around the 1st there was a treat recall. Keep us posted and well wishes and pats to Dozer
And good news on Lance at least!

Looks like an enteritis, Theresa. Dozer's had two stinky diarrheas and is feeling perkier. Ate a little bit this morning; I think he's on the mend.
