More new tricks

This morning friend Sharon commented on my last blog post, saying we'd have to use our iPhones and FaceTime to talk sometime. Since I was on the computer I replied, and next thing I know we were talking face to face! It was lovely, our morning faces and bed-heads notwithstanding. ;-)

FaceTime is much like Skype, which I've been using for the last two years while my friend Pam has been teaching in Saipan. But like all things Apple/Mac, FaceTime was just a little easier. Nice to learn something else my new phone can do – even if I wasn't on my phone!

Yesterday I did, indeed, bind off the body of my Mr. Brownjeans, and picked up the stitches to start the first sleeve. I'm wishing I hadn't gone down a needle size for the cable and rib section as instructed by the pattern, but my handspun is "sticky" enough that I'm not going to rip back and reknit it. I'm hoping that the button band will add the additional fabric needed for sufficient coverage.

Wanna see how things are burgeoning in the neighborhood? The lambs are growing up fast, as lambs do.

And the winery continues to grow up, and out:
The block building is apparently going to be a two-story affair, and a foundation has been poured for another structure where you can see a backhoe arm.

That's it for now from . . .

Well, adorable lambs. As to the winery, hopefully the product is good at least. Maybe as you ride Lance by, they can give you a little refreshment on the way home...Maybe a flask for that saddle? :)

Oh, my! I can't believe how big the lambs are already! Have you sorted out your ramlets yet? Can't wait to see Mr. Brownjeans in toto! Let's hope the winery will end up at least looking as inobtrusive as possible.
