We're home; let it snow!

Talk about good timing. First thing this morning I had my annual "tune-ups" (mammography and such) in one town, followed by Brian's science class in another town. It was cold but dry when his class started; two hours later it looked like this:

We made it home slowly but safely, and plan to stay put until at least Saturday morning. I picked up some more black oil sunflower seeds in town, and the wild birds are fueling up to stay warm during this late winter storm.

Brian is finishing his schoolwork so he can go out and play; I need to make sure all the critters have open water to drink and gather eggs. I'm thinking creamy vegetable chowder is just the thing for supper tonight, followed by winding the yarns for my Romilympics project so I'm ready to cast on tomorrow morning. It is snowing steadily; I imagine we'll have a lot more snow than this by then!

That's it from a winter wonderland at . . .

The snow looks very pretty.....please don't send it north. It's cold here and maybe snow by Sunday. What are you making for your Romilympics project?

I am jealous. My middle daughter who lives in the Portland area has sent me snow pictures. But, we have a rain event forecast and I'm keeping fingers crossed.

Welcome to the Winter of Snow Almost Everywhere! It is lovely IF you don't have to be out on the roads. No matter how much you get, though, I'm betting it won't last too long. Brian better get out there to play in it as fast as he can!

Glad you got off the roads safely. Yes, it's nice to be home and watch winter do its thing from inside the house!

Great to hear you are keeping up on your mammograms. Learned the hard way how terribly important they are!
