Good morning giveaway!

We had an actual sunrise this morning – followed by some actual SUN – for the first time in, what, 10 days? Two weeks? WooHoo! The wind blew in a weather change last night; we got a mere sprinkle but there was rain north of us. The fog was banished along with the poor air quality from the inversion we were experiencing and it just feels different.

Last night I reached a decision point on the red wrap, so I set it aside until I can consult with the recipient and cast on my next Gnarled Entling Warmer:
This is the one I'm going to give away randomly to one of you who leaves a comment on this post (saying that you would like it) by the end of the week-end. By then it should be done, hopefully blocked and ready to mail on Monday! (Keep in mind this is 100% "mystery wool," soft enough for my head but maybe not for someone with super-sensitive skin.) I'll take a headband over a hat any day; hopefully one of you would like one, too!

That's it for today from . . .

Ah, sun, glorious sun! Here in WY, we don't have too many days go by without sunshine, but when we do, I miss it terribly! What a beautiful picture of the sunrise. I drove in 50-60 mph gusts just a couple days ago...but at least the wind took the brunt of the winter storm further east...

Hey Nancy, I just updated my blog to clarify things. Do you want to be in the drawing for the Warmer?

Me and my girls love headbands/earwarmers rather than hats. I'd love to be in the drawing please.

Beautiful color of wool. Thanks for sharing the sunrise. We've got sunshine today as well.

Mystery wool headband over a hat... sounds just perfect it's -22c and with the wind chill it's making it -38c at the moment.

I would LOVE to have something from your needles!

No sun for us here today. We're in the midst of a blizzard with heavy snow and high winds since 9 a.m. this morning. The governor of Minnesota has cancelled all schools for Monday because when the snow stops, we're going into the deep freeze again with a forecasted high of -20 to -15 for the first of the week. Is it winter yet? Ya think!?

Never tried a head warmer before. How would it be at -15 degrees? I enjoy reading your blog. Thanks for your hard work.

It definitely feels different, and it's gorgeous!! Perfect walking (or riding) weather...the dogs and I went to the park today, and it was glorious. I think we're supposed to have this weather throughout the weekend. Our amazing weather trend continues!!! I'm a happy gal about that...oh, I love ear warmers because they don't flatten my hair and make it go all wonky and such. I'd love one of your handmades, and I'd wear it!! :) Count me in!!

I love the weather we are experiencing in Oregon right now, but I'm a bit nervous for the fire and drought conditions that we may have this summer...

Did you see the sunset Wednesday evening? It was a show stopper! So nice to have a change from the endless fog.
Earwarmers are better than hats for walking and anytime one's head is going to get warm from exertion. That's a cool pattern!

Looks so cool... er, "warm"! I would love for a chance to win it; with our weather colder than Mars - I definitely need it! ;) (and yes, Winnipeg was labelled colder than the Red Planet the other day - geesh!)

I would love to win this headband. Thanks for offering a give away.

Also let me share that I got my very first Jenkins spindle this past month - on the secondary market because it is so hard to get one directly from the maker. Your spindles inspired me. I just loved how they looked. I plan to get more but for now I have my very first one. It is The Swan - perfect for a beginner. Maybe in a month or two I will seek out another one on the secondary market - unless I get get picked in their lottery.

Hope I am lucky enough to get picked in this lottery!!

:-)
