Thursday things

  • It was cold last night. Whether I was snuggling under the covers or throwing them off, the bracing air coming through my open window felt delicious. It also rained in the night, and continued raining off and on all day.
  • When I did chores this morning, Bramble was shivering. I left the sheep in.
  • Cherry season is starting!
  • I got these in McMinnville this morning.

  • This arrived today. Gulp!

That's it for now from . . .

Tornado????? Did the earth slip and Oregon slid to the midwest? Stay safe.

Although I didn't see it, I think I know exactly when it must have touched down. The sky turned a very ominous black, the wind picked up and there was a hellacious rain shower. A real gullywasher!! I saw the building that was torn up at lunch time today - what a mess!

That's not a weed, it's Ivy :-D

Audrey, fortunately we don't have Midwest-strength tornadoes!

I'm glad I was in Salem at the time, Lorie!

Adrienne, around here English Ivy is classified as a noxious weed. It can take over a forest, choking and killing trees.

I stayed overnight in McMinnville last Monday. My girlfriend and I had just done a photography workshop in Portland called Waterfalls of the Columbia River on the weekend. We were driving to the coast. We stayed at the Comfort Inn.
What a beautiful place you live in. It's a very lovely spot. I could live out there.
Cherries, canning, tornadoes and beautiful fleece. Wow! One of those doesn't fit.

And you didn't look me up??? I just got to meet another blogpal Saturday and we had such a lovely time visiting. I would have liked to have met you IRL, too!

The photography workshop sounds fabulous. Yes, I love it here. So many wonderful things about it, and not a lot of downsides, IMHO.

Let me know next time you're in the area!
