Raindrops on roses

We very seldom get thunderstorms in the Willamette Valley, so waking up to one this morning in Houston was a treat – especially since the rain stopped before Mom and I headed to the hospital! I had to stop and “smell the roses” on the grounds....

MD Anderson Cancer Center, where my dad had his surgery and recovery, is part of the Texas Medical Center, an unbelievably huge complex of hospitals and health science educational institutions. Great as its reputation is, this is the best part of being a patient there –
LEAVING!

To be continued....

Texas does everything in a big way, don't they? Big wheel chairs, big roses, big hospitals.....
It's nice to see your parents smiling and going home. Enjoy your visit.

We've got snow heading our way today---just praying it doesn't get too out of hand! So glad that things are going fairly positively in your Dad's fight against cancer.

Take care,
Tammy

Leaving is definitely the best. And that's some fancy chair he's got there.
