TWO winners?

Well, these two hens (not mine!) are both wearing hand knits; why shouldn't two of you?

There were 52 comments on my Party-time post, so I ran a random number generator to choose a winner:
Then I wondered if perhaps I skewed the selection by counting ALL comments; a few were my responses, and one was a comment deleted by its author. In reality, 47 individuals commented on that post, so I ran another random number generator:
What can I say? It is so hard to choose just one person – I wish I had time to knit 47 pairs of fingerless mitts so I could send each one of you a party favor! But I have a son to homeschool, chores to do, a small business to run, payroll duties for my husband's clinic to perform, a house to maintain, a horse to train, volunteer duties to discharge . . . when DO I find time to knit and spin??? Oh yeah, that's right; I don't very often . . . . heh   Fortunately, these mitts are a fun, fast project, so I am going to make a pair for both Dakota Shetlands, first-time commenter, and Carolyn Phillips of Mess, Muddle and Fun, a new follower from the UK, whose comments corresponded to the above numbers!
Oh, to be a sheep, and just grow wool and eat. ;-)

That's it for today from . . .

Hurray for new readers winning them!!! :)
And those chickens in their fine knit sweaters were strutting their stuff on FB too. Have you seen the Shetland ponies? I really must update my blog one of these days...

Congratulations to the winners. And those hens really made me smile. You can tell they know they look just grand!

I don't know to whom those well-dressed hens belong, but I hope my sheep don't see them and strike for better fashions!

You're welcome, Carolyn – and you're right, Lorie; I'd be bored as a sheep.

LaLaLane, that's Annabelle, dam of the ram I lost recently. She's my sole hold-out; she won't let me touch her much – but she's tamed down a lot since I got her 2 1/2 years ago.

Amy, it's nice to have a new sheep friend in South Dakota!

I'll have to do a drawing for fingerless mitts again sometime, Denise, because most everyone seems to like them.

Yes, Wanda, those Fair Isle sweaters the ponies got to wear would REALLY make my sheep jealous!

Glad the photo brought a smile, Angora Amora. :-)

Welcome, Chubby Chieque!

CJ, I've heard of people knitting coats for battery chickens, but these look like well-feathered girls.

Kind of you to say, Mary Ann. :-)

How sweet your little 2nd grader is to bring you feathers, Nancy. I hope she likes the hens in sweaters.
