Warping Wrapping up

Today was the last day of my homeschool co-op Textiles 101 class. The kids were weaving like mad, but didn't get quite finished with their card looms. I will complete and wash them all before the first class of next term three weeks from today. I think the kids will all be pleased with the results!

I finished spinning half the leftover orange Romney from class on my Jenkins Lark and started the second half today. I'll have almost 80 grams of two-ply when I'm finished. Then it's on to the leftover purply-burgundy Romney!

And yes, it was back to "Spring" today:
Like I said - whiplash!

That's it for today from . . .

Whiplash is right. I never know exactly what to wear these days. Yesterday started out at 8 degrees and ended up at 52! That's quite a spread.

Look at all those little weavers!!!! And the orange yarn is gorgeous.

Great spindle shot!

The kids look so involved in using the cardlooms. I think we all like seeing a project move along, and having something to show for our efforts.

Someday soon can you please videotape yourself spinning on one of your beautiful spindles? I'm dying to figure out how you make such beautiful yarn.

Oh, just reading this post makes me cross my fingers again for SOAR. You are the perfect candidate!
