The best view is from the deck, and I can once again open the door and capture the glory, unsullied by dirty windows.
Apparently the rams wanted more of a view, too. Recently the big boys - Bunker and Blake - have been remodeling the Ram-ada Inn. (We suspect Bunker is the main culprit.) So last night Rick moved in a horse panel to protect the cedar siding - and threatened them with sausage casings. Seriously. I can hopefully stall any decisions until lambs have hit the ground and shearing is over so I have a better idea of what the two as-yet-unproven boys can produce. After that, one or more will have to go. Let me know if you're interested; all three of the rams are too nice to eat! Good conformations, wonderful fleeces, respectful attitudes, polled genetics. Samples will be taken for current micron tests within a couple months.

Hmmmmm I am looking for an unrelated ram, and maybe a ewe or two, problem is distance.
Does anyone from your area come to Black Sheep Gathering in June? I know a CA Jacob breeder who often does, and there are others from CA, but don't know if any are from your area.

Jenny, we have had a ridiculously DRY winter so far; December was the driest on record. January isn't making up for it so far, but we can hope. Snowpack is way down in the mountains, which will affect irrigation and municipal water in many areas next summer.
