The best kind of Thanksgiving...

...is shared with family.

Living off in Oregon, a long way from all our immediate family, makes such a celebration a rather rare occurrence for us. We are soaking up the opportunity to be here in Burleson, TX at my sister's house along with my folks. Hope I can come back after my sister's baby boy arrives! Today while we cooked, some of the menfolk put together this:
I think they are ready for him now. ;-)

Oh what a perfect holiday for you all! That crib is lovely BTW and congrats to the mom to be please.
Loved your "only in Texas" shots BTW. It's been about 12 years since I resided in the vast state of TX (Bryan/College Station) and enjoyed seeing the long horns and San Antonio again. Think you could get a dressage saddle on that beauty? Hmmm, wonder what
it would feel like taking a cow through his paces.. shoulder in and watch the horns...;)
Oh, and those heelers are beautiful. I bet they are grand workers around their home operation.

I've thought about you off and on during the past week+. Hope you had a great flight home and that all is well. Looks like you had a wonderful trip and visit with family.
