Sheepy shots before shearing

Look at that beautiful "bald" noggin! That's my yearling ram Boulderneigh Blake.

No one would call poll-carrier Annabelle "bald," with all that wool on her head!

But we might need to hang a "wide-load" sign from her typey little tail:

My silly Bramble spent 10-15 minutes this morning delicately lapping up water like a chihuahua this morning. Didn't want to get her muzzle wet, I guess! But what's with that white foam oozing down the side of her lower jaw? (Double-click to biggify.)

That's it for today from . . .

Oh my, that is a wide load! On the foamy drool, maybe a tooth problem?
Clueless but it might be why she's lapping like a chihuahua. Hey wait a minute, I have a chiwawa and he is no where near that neat. He must lap like a sheep! ;)
What a handsome load of wool you're going to have!

Such beautiful sheepies... I must confess, we've had 4-H market lambs here for 5 years (for 5 months at a time) and I never realized what personalities lie beneath those wooley hides until we decided to keep two ewes to raise our own. I'm in love!

Annabelle is so pretty. I hope we'll get to see "after" pix following shearing. She is huge!

Love Annabelle! One of my goals is to find a nice white reg Shetland ewe. Poll carrier would be even better. Is Bramble feeling ok?
