Hot Baths: 25¢

I generally prefer showers, but there's nothing like a long, hot soak if you're yarn!

Before my MIL left (early this morning), I got her cowl and the hat for my nephew bathed and blocked. She is going to Nebraska for Christmas, so will deliver the hat and keyhole scarves (which I didn't wash and block) to the giftees. Her cowl should feel good there - as well as in Chicago, where she is going first for a funeral.

While my husband was making the early-morning airport run, I finished plying the last four ounces of alpaca and gave the three final skeins a bath - hurray! Once they are dry, I will have the great satisfaction of delivering them to the alpaca farm owner and moving on. In fact, I've already done so; I pulled out one of my Turkish spindles with Braveheart yarn on it and added to the cop. It felt wonderful!

That's it for today from . . .

Do you have a pattern for that cowl? Cute.. I would like to make one for my sister to match the hat I made her for Christmas.

Yes, if she's coming to Chicagoland, she will need a scarf (and maybe that hat, too ;-)). It's cold here today and will be all week - 20s and low 30s.

Great projects! I need to get started on one of those cowls. Once again, thanks for the inspiration. :)
