Through the window, and other views

After my success capturing quail the other day, I had to see what I could do with the birds that perch in the cherry tree outside our bedroom window. Zoom:
I saved the best for last in these three, don't you think? What a stunning little finch!

The girls weren't sure they wanted to leave the fold this morning; silly things.

Once in the sheep lot, I give Inky her morning grain. Annabelle is getting a bit bolder every day, and I encourage her:
The grain is not quite compelling enough for her to be willing to endure my touch, but that will come. Then, maybe, she might find that scritches are almost as nice!

Annabelle's scurred ram lamb Bunker was sporting a serious hay-head this morning. Actually, both he and Blake were, but Blake wouldn't pose as nicely.

They're everywhere; they're everywhere (tuxedo cats, that is)!
This is Gertrude, one of Brian's violin teacher's four cats (two black, two tuxedo). If she's not shut in another room, she spends Brian's lesson time on my lap.

We did something fun and different last night, the eve of my 50th year, but I don't have time for that post right now. Maybe this weekend!

That's it for now from . . .

Your bird photos turned out so wonderful! Do you ever enter your pics in contests? You would probably win something. Happy Sabbath.

Thanks, Voni! No, I've never entered my photos in contests; wouldn't know where to look for contests to enter. Suggestions?

Happy (belated) Birthday dear friend. The bird photos are stunning...a good camera helps, but the success of the venture depends on your ability to "see" the photo and capture it....which you did so well!
