Their first visitor

Today Jeannie stopped by to see Katie's lambs since she was in the area. She has been hoping for a little ewe from Katie to take home with Banjo, but as we all know, no such luck. Ah well, it was still fun to share the little boys with their first visitor, and Katie was such a gracious hostess. Jeannie took the photo above while she, Brian and I were all in the bonding suite with the little family.

That's it for now from . . .

Boy did I get it wrong huh? Did you try explaining to Katie that she had to have girls? Any way, they are so cute. If I didn't live so far away I would take one.I'm getting the picture that having Shetland lambs is like opening Christmas presents....you never know what your going to get. It seems like that is the exciting part. I only get 3 colors, white, gray or black. Next year you will have all ewes.

Well, there is that old farmer saying "There's always next year" Glad they were healthy. T.

I think she did wait for me to get home :-D Sorry you didn't get any ewes this year, but I believe everything happens for a reason, so it will be interesting to see what this year brings to you and your little flock :-)

I love the term, "bonding suite", it sounds much more sophisticated than "jug". :-)

Linda, that IS one of the fun parts of having Shetlands - nearly endless variety! And they're nice and small, which means easy to handle and less to feed. Hey, I could mail one of these cuties to you; after all, one of my lambs flew to Alaska!

Tina, I'm hoping!

Adrienne, maybe the reason is purely a test of character for me! :-)

I do, too, Becky; I can't remember where I first saw that used.

Bless Katie's heart she still looks pretty 'wide load'. I'm always amazed when one of the ewes gets super big, and has a single or small twins...and they still look preggers! Anyway, they look like a content little family.

Tammy, Katie isn't a "hard-keeper" like Inky, that's for sure!
