A call of "Lambie-lambie, ewe-ewe!" brought everyone on the run:
Notice who's first in line? It was a little hard to get to know the lambies because Mr. Browning thought he should be everybody's lap sheep!
But eventually Jeannie got to meet all the little boys, including the next member of their flock, Banjo:
Earlier in the day Bodhran found himself outside the pasture/property fence and by the time Brian and I rescued him, he was pretty stressed. I'm assuming that is why he was a little stand-offish yesterday afternoon; this morning he was back to his usually friendly self.
Duane was taken with Blake, so if he doesn't turn out to be flock sire material, Blake may join his half-brother at Santiam Shetland Sheep. But Jeannie also wants to see what Katie has; if a little ewe lamb is available, she has first dibs!
Oh, and look at what Beau and Boo gave me for Mother's Day! (Thanks, Jeannie! ;-)That's it for now from . . .

One of our two boys looks to be a poll carrier. He has itty-bitty flat horns that are loose. One good bump and I'm sure they'll come off. Need a ram whose daddy was an F1? ;)
It's so nice to be able to have a long chat with the people receiving your sheep, Michelle. I know you'll ahte to lose them, but it makes it easier when you know they are going to a good home.

"Lambie-lambie, ewe-ewe!" OK! I've been wondering how to call in my goats. The only thing I've heard so far is "billybillybilly" but somehow that doesn't seem right for does. Maybe "nannynannynanny"? *LOL
Leigh, how about "Goa-TEEE!" with the last syllable much high and drawn out? You want something that carries well, and has a distinctive sound, so they can both hear it and recognize it instantly. When I was a kid our cattle call was "Sue-EEE," called out in the same way.
Michelle, that's better than anything I've come up with so far. The main thing is, what will the neighbors think when they hear me *LOL
I think Shetlands are the sweetest sheep I have ever met. One day...
