A lambing contest!

Consider this your first call; photos of prizes will have to come later due to the frantic nature of my life lately.

Rather than having you guess the total results, since Katie isn't due until late May, I'm going to give a prize to the person who guesses correctly who lambs first, and most closely guesses what she has (single or twins, ewe and/or ram, and color/pattern). Brava, Dinah and Inky are all obviously pregnant but not imminently so; your guess is as good as mine about which of them will lamb first. And we ALL know that it's anyone's guess about the pretty packaging a Shetland lamb will have!

For prizes I've come up with my felted horse head, four ounces of Braveheart's roving, a set of my photo notecards or an 8"x10" print of one of my photos, winner's choice. I might get more ideas to add to the selection between now and when I have a chance to take pictures of them.

Contest closes at midnight on March 20 - the first day of Spring! And if you enter, make sure I have a way to contact you.

That's it for now from . . .

Sounds like an interesting competition, Michelle :)

I do like all the work you have put into your new layout...very fetching :)

I like your ref to the egg being a great handwarmer (in a previous post) as I have great memories of collecting my Gran's hens'eggs each morning when I went on holiday :)

I also greatly admire Talia in another blog...such clever hands, you have :)

I'm afraid I can't take credit for any real effort in my layout; it's mostly thanks to one of the many free blog backgrounds available out there on the 'net. I just coordinate the colors of the various elements to go with the new background I choose each month. But I'm glad you like it!

Can we have rear view photos of each ewe?

Well I'm no good at guessing, but I DID want to tell you that little Blanche looks like she will indeed have a lamb of her own this year! She is growing an udder - LOL!!

And be sure to go see the new HST on my blog...I can't believe that mom, dad, and the new lamb all posed together for a photo session - that's a first!

I love this line: ...prizes will have to come later due to the frantic nature of my life lately.

Makes me smile. Spring is a wild time, especially for the likes of homeschooling (and all the other stuff!) Moms! I will have to think on this, since I do have a few days to work my mental-telepathy!

I think it will be Dinah and she will have a ram singleton that looks like a mini-Blackberry.

Brava: she'll have twins. One moorit polled ram and one moorit ewe.
