EASM

The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, that is. We are members because Brian loves the place, and it's nice to be able to take friends and family when they visit (that means any of YOU, dear readers, if you're so inclined when you're in the area!). Sunday we took Rick's mom since she hadn't seen the Space Museum building, which was completed last year.

In addition to what's IN the museum, the grounds are beautifully landscaped and they have a very nice outdoor playground for the kids as well. This shrub's golden green leaves and purplish blue flowers really appeal to me!

That's today's bonus post from . . .

Michelle -- its a blue mist spirea. LOVE it! I'm not sure what variety that is ..... I had a shrub row of it. But it is marginal here in Iowa and I lost the entire row one hard winter. Fantastic cut. Bees swarm to it in the fall. The color is so pure and so blue.

Now .... you can buy it and plant it in your yard!

Thank-you, Miss Effie! Now I'll have to look up whether it's deer-resistant or not; if not, I'm not BUYING deer forage....

I know a few people who would love that museum! I never would have known. Thank you.
I'm just getting caught up on all your recent posts.
That's some slug you got there. I know parts of the Northwest are famous for them, but I have yet to see one around our place. Of course we don't have beautiful dahlias for enticement either.
Love the group shot of the horses. Looks like a handsome bunch.
