Mixed signals

Firewood? Flowers? Fall colors?

Yes, I'm getting mixed signals here at Boulderneigh. Yesterday's uncomfortably warm weather is supposed to continue for the foreseeable forecast, but some leaves on the silver oak near the house are turning. After pricing advertised firewood (yikes!), we hitched up the old wagon and gathered up the miscellaneous wood we've cut around the property, but we had to sleep with the fan on last night. And my only clematis is giving me its first bloom in over two years - in September! (The "meadow rats" have been hard on it.)

That's it for now at . . .

Your tractor and our tractor could be twins.

That's not a Ford Jubilee is it? If so, we are taking triplets!

Great minds think alike, Tammy. :-)

Our tractor is a 9N; says so on the bill of sale Rick has from when his granddad bought it as a newer used tractor.

It's definitely fall here - we had our first frost on Tuesday of last week and the hills near us had their first dusting of snow! They are about 4000ft asl, I think. I love fall. I think it is my favourite season. Unless it is spring, then spring is my favourite season, lol. Guess what Michele, I just bought my first Shetland last night. Yep, so that is one little moorit shetland ewe lamb to go with my 500+ "big whites", hehe. I have really loved getting to know yours, technologically speaking, so I just had to get some of my own. One is a start!

Woo hoo, congratulations on your first Shetland, Heather! I predict she will steal your heart and you will "need" more small, colorful, smart, friendly sheep. :-)

We're in that B'tween Zone as well...I know the green tomatoes on my plants will never ripen to red outside as we're now beginning to see the high 30s at night. Ralph even threw a quilt on our feet last night.
It's definitely time to get ready for colder weather...thank heavens!
