Patting myself on the back

Yesterday we drove to Portland for some meetings, giving me plenty of time to finish BSJ #4. I even got the ends woven in and the buttons sewn on last night - woohoo! I really like how this Baby Surprise Jacket turned out, and can hardly wait for the shower a week from today to give it away.

Now to decide what to cast on for next. The scarf I have in mind for that lovely red and blue sparkly yarn I recently finished spinning would make sense, but I have a hankering to make a fitted vest or sweater for me or someone else. Haven't finished spinning the dark brown roving I have in mind for the Talia vest, though. I have lots of commercial yarn in the stash, but no black. Hmmm, I'm going to have to give this some thought. There's always the "scarf of miserable yarn" to keep my fingers busy in the interim.

That's it for now at . . .

What a Beautiful little sweater Michelle - I love handknits on babies. Just don't see it much anymore - I think most of the appreciation is gone for beautiful handmade items.

What a sweet litte sweater :) I'm sure the lucky Mom-to-be will be very appreciative of your efforts.

VERY NICE! A gift that will surely be treasured. I'm also envious of your dehydrated cherries! What fun. What does your cherry pitter look like? I used an unbent paper clip...ha..

That's IT!!!
Now I know why I almost never finish anything I start knitting....

because I hate not having something to knit! I hate that feeling of "what can I knit now?" That frantic desire to start something but lack of clarity as to what I want to make. It's almost anti-climactic when I finish something! That's got to be why I have MANY more 'unfinished projects' than finished ones. It seems that as soon as I get even close to finishing something, I start something else. And then set aside the original project ~ in many cases never to be finished....
