Digging the dust out of the crevices

That's what we've been doing since we got back yesterday afternoon from five days of horse camping. It was hot and dusty, as you would expect in a summer meadow full of horses and vehicles and people. Rick and Brian don't seem to mind getting dirty, but I get downright cranky without regular showers. I did get to take two "dribble showers," one in the horse trailer and one in the camper's cramped bathroom, which kept my temper tolerable. If it weren't for the ridin' and the singin' and the people and the preachin' -- oh, and don't forget the beautiful scenery and wildflowers.... We really do have a good time at Cowboy Campmeeting!

Ah, but to be home again is bliss. Yesterday I spent a little time with the sheep in between unloading the camper and working on the mountain of filthy clothes. It was good to see and smell them. On the sheep to-do list this week is a visit from the state vet for our annual scrapie certification inspection, and changing coats on the adults. That's going to be fun with Bella. She's acting as flighty as a wild rabbit since my return.

That's it for now at . . .

Hey, Welcome home! Glad you had a good time - beautiful pictures - I like the one of the lilies too!

I agree with you on the shower thing - camping is not my deal unless there is a hot shower (at least warm anyhow) every morning!
